Kuwait Seizes Iraqi Border Zone
Basra Governorate Council calls to hold an agreement between Iraq and Kuwait concerning exploiting oil locations in the border. Jabbar Al-Latif, chairman of Basra Council, demanded political solutions to win back the lands which Iraq lost when it was lacking full sovereignty, according what had been published in Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper in its issue 11437 dated 22/03/2010. Al-Latif added, Kuwait has the right to exploit its natural resources wherever they are inside its territory , but investing the shared oil fields should be organized by an agreement between the two countries as a normal procedure allover the world.
